TPF Announces New President, Kelly Abraham

The Board of Trustees of Texas Presbyterian Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Kelly Abraham as the organization's president, effective November 16, 2026. Abraham succeeds The Rev. Dr. Rick Young, who served the organization with distinction for 15 years.

​​​For more than a century, TPF has partnered with churches and nonprofits to steward resources in ways that enable and expand mission. As president, Abraham will provide strategic leadership, empower TPF's talented team, strengthen relationships with current and future partners, and position the organization to meet evolving needs with excellence, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to mission.

Abraham has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Presbyterian Association of Musicians (PAM) where she led the transformation of a national nonprofit serving over 1,500 members and over 900 churches nationally. During her tenure, she eliminated a substantial annual operating deficit and sustained a net income for seven consecutive years, increased total equity by more than 500%, and grew donations by over 800%. She drew upon her extensive accounting and financial management experience, including as a Controller for Lorient North America, to transform all facets of the organization.

Along with her wide range of business leadership and experience, Abraham has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Puget Sound and received her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri.

"Her demonstrated commitment to advancing the mission of the greater Church, paired with her record of strategic and organizational leadership, uniquely positions her to guide TPF into its next chapter. Her appointment also represents a meaningful milestone, one we recognize with great pride, as she becomes the first woman to lead TPF in its century-long history."

Abraham shared her enthusiasm for the new role: "The call represents the culmination of my 30 years of experience across higher education, nonprofit executive leadership, and congregational service. It is an honor and privilege to be able to serve TPF alongside the talented staff and Board, build upon the organization's century-long legacy, and work with our partners to enable and expand mission for generations to come."
